'Still glad to be alive': Columbus woman still battling effects from COVID-19 after recovery

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Denise Daley spent 11 days in the hospital, fighting for her life. She is home and feeling much better now, but she says there are still lingering effects from the coronavirus.

As someone who worked in the health care field, Daley took all the precautions she thought to keep her from contracting COVID-19. Yet in April, she tested positive.

She says she has taken a follow-up test, and that came back negative. She still has lingering effects from the virus.

“I am having some kind of residual types of effects with my heart. I've been having some palpitations, some racing heart action going on,” she explained.

365体育外围投注“In the recovery stage, it's almost like crawling until you can walk, until you can run,” Daley described the struggle.

365体育外围投注She's hoping everyone still take precautions, and doesn't have to fight to recover the way she did.

“Just encouraging others who are going through this, you can come through this. Not everybody dies. It is a fight,” she said.

Daley has signed up and is going through the application process to donate her convalescent plasma to help others.
